Stone Soup Flexible Tuition
At Randolph, we believe a great education, like a great pot of soup, is made richer when everyone contributes what they can. That's the spirit behind our flexible tuition philosophy.
How It Works
Families who are able to contribute the full tuition amount are welcome to do so without submitting financial information.
Families seeking a Flexible Tuition placement can apply beginning in January through SSS, our financial review partner. SSS reviews income disclosures and supporting documents to help determine a tier that works for your family and for the school

Tuition Levels
Based on the SSS application review or a family's decision not to apply, each family will be placed in one of the following tiers. All figures are based on a 12-month payment schedule, inclusive of Equipment and Activity Fees, beginning May 2026. Amounts reflect 10% deposits paid with enrollment agreements.
Flexible Tuition A: $941.25/month
Flexible Tuition B: $1,128.75/month
Flexible Tuition C: $1,316.25/month
Flexible Tuition D: $1,500.00/month
The number of placements available at each level is determined annually by school leadership in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.
Our Stone Soup Story
Before the first Clearwater Festival in 1966, Pete and Toshi Seeger, longtime friends of Randolph, put an ad in the local paper sharing the old folktale of stone soup. Toshi brought a giant pot to the festival grounds, added the starter stone, and Pete kept the fire going all day. People showed up with vegetables, meat, and spices, and by the end of the afternoon she had fed nearly a thousand people. Everyone brought what they could, and together they made something extraordinary.
That spirit lives at Randolph. We are the starter stone. Each family brings what they can to the pot, and together we create an educational community that nourishes everyone, regardless of means.
