In 1963, several teachers and parents joined together
to form a teacher's cooperative school. They named it The Randolph
Avenue School because it was housed at the Unitarian Fellowship
on Randolph Avenue in Poughkeepsie. Two years later they bought
the property in Wappingers Falls where the school remains to this
day. Through the years The Randolph School has remained independent
in its implementation of various educational principles. Parents
have always been an integral part of the school and their participation
and assistance has always helped to bridge the gap between home
and school.
