What is this group all about?

This group is about making a difference in the world while having fun! We are trying to make a difference by looking out for issues that are not being looked at by people these days. We are trying to make sure that people in this world don't forget that there are people dying from starvation everyday,while we eat our big dinners and go out to restaurants. We want to get people to realize that this is important. This is only one of the major issues that are not being looked at by people in this world. This group is about changing the way these probloms are being ignored.

What we named our group, and why?

This group started out as “The move and doers”, after starting to acomplish some of our goals. We decided that we needed a different name. After thinking and thinking we thought of a few names, including Teens in motion, teens in action and Kids in Action. “No I don't think thats good”.We all agreed on F.A.T. (feeding africa today) we all thought that described what we are all about very well, feeding starving people in africa also fat (we eat a lot, we're fat and we have tons of food. So we're giving it away to people who don't have any. By doing this we are saving lives.

What are we trying to do at the moment?

Right now, F.A.T is trying to orginize a concert in either Central Park, the civic center or the Bardavon. We have wrote, emailed and called a bunch of singers and bands and invited them to donate their talent.and preform at the event. We have talked to, on the phone, Eminem, Alicia Keys and Missy Eliott's managers. Maureen bought us two books, that have managers names and phone numbers in it. This makes it much easier for us to appear proffesional and to get further towards our goal. We also ordered 800 rubber bracelets in zebra and giraffe print to sell and raise money, for the same cause. We are also dancing, for the “move” part of Move and Do. Maureen has started to choreograph a dance (with our help) to Pon De Replay by Rihanna. We hope to perform it at the concert. We also got our own eamil address, feedingafrica@walla.com. To make it easier for manegers and other people to contact us. We also had an idea to get some puplicity. We want to either go to Washington D.C. Or New York City at the UN and hand out information about our project. We are going to fast for the whole day and listen to some cool music that represents our cause. At sun set we are going to light candles and eat a piece of bread. We hope that people will join us.
